This complex of buildings, situated in downtown Providence at the corner of Weybosset and Dorrance Streets, is made up of the former Providence Gas Building, Teste Building and Narragansett Hotel Garage. Each building has a public space on the ground level, whether it be event space, restaurant, cafe or lobby connection for all buildings. Above these spaces are residential apartments, interconnected throughout. The G-Pub Restaurant sits below the complex with a side entrance off of Orange Street.
The Providence G Complex won the Grow Smart Rhode Island Project Award in 2013.
Completed in 2014-2015
An existing four-story mill building, the former Mechanical Fabric Mill, is to be converted to a mixed-use, entrepreneurial center.
The first floor will house office space, a restaurant/bar, and commercial kitchens. The top three floors will be converted to residential apartments. A three-story communicating space will extend from the first floor to the third, with office/studio spaces surrounding, and will connect these floors vertically through particular views.
This project is slated for completion in July 2016.
